How does it work?
- Ready-made prompts: 62 prompts written following best practice (role, context, task, format, rules), in 15 categories: writing, summaries, languages, studying, teaching, code, spreadsheets, marketing, work, jobs, everyday life, creativity, decisions, images and prompts about prompts. Fill in the fields and the prompt completes as you type.
- Build your own: describe the task, add context, audience, format and rules; the quality score shows what is missing. Choose the layout: sections, XML tags, Markdown or a paragraph.
- Check a prompt: paste an existing prompt to see its strengths and what it lacks.
- Copy or open: copy the prompt, or open it in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Le Chat (Mistral), Copilot, Perplexity, Grok or DeepSeek. The share link recreates the prompt for someone else.
6 habits of a good prompt
- A precise task, with an action verb: “Write”, “Compare”, “Explain”.
- Context: the AI only knows what you tell it (who you are, why, for whom).
- A format and a length: “a table”, “5 bullets”, “about 200 words”.
- Examples rather than long descriptions of the style you want.
- Delimiters (triple quotes, tags) between your instructions and the text to work on.
- Iterate: ask for changes based on the first answer (“shorter”, “more concrete”).
Frequently asked questions
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser and uses no AI. Nothing is sent until you paste the prompt into an AI yourself. For most AIs, the “Open in” buttons put the prompt in the chosen site's address: avoid them for confidential information.
Why do I have to paste the prompt into Gemini or DeepSeek?
The prompt is always copied. ChatGPT, Claude, Le Chat, Copilot, Perplexity and Grok accept it through the link: it appears straight in the input box. Gemini and DeepSeek do not: the site opens and you just paste (Ctrl+V, or long-press then “Paste” on mobile). If a site changes and the prompt does not appear, paste it the same way.
Do these prompts work with every AI?
Yes: they are written in plain language and work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Mistral Le Chat, Copilot or Perplexity. Image prompts are meant for image generators (Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, Firefly…).
Which language should I write in?
Write in the language you want the answer in. The builder's “Answer language” field lets you ask for another one.
How can I get better at prompting?
The prompt guide explains the methods in detail, with a quiz and a checklist.
Before and after: what structure changes
Vague prompt: “Write an email to my landlord.”
Structured prompt, as the tool produces it:
Role: you are an assistant who writes clear, polite letters.
Context: I have rented this flat for 3 years; the water heater has been
broken since 2 November and I already reported it by phone.
Task: write an email to my landlord asking for a repair within 8 days.
Format: an email of at most 120 words, with a subject line.
Tone: courteous but firm.
Constraints: mention the date of the fault and of the first report;
don't threaten any sanctions.
The second version gets a usable answer first time: the AI knows who is writing, to whom, why, in what form and within what limits.
Three ways to use the tool
- Ready-made prompts: 62 templates in 15 categories (summarise a document, prepare for an interview, explain an idea to a child, build a spreadsheet, proofread a text…). Fill in the fields and copy.
- Build your own: five blocks (essentials, audience and goal, expected answer, constraints, example and text) guide you; the quality score shows what is missing.
- Analyse a prompt: paste an existing prompt to see its strengths and gaps, then complete it in the builder.
Which layout?
- Sections (“Role: … Task: …”): readable, works with every assistant.
- XML tags (
<context>…</context>): very effective for separating a long text from the instructions; recommended for Claude in particular. - Markdown: headings and lists, handy for long prompts you reuse.
- Paragraph: natural, for a short request.
Common mistakes
- Asking for several things at once: split into steps and chain your messages.
- Forgetting the audience: “explain photosynthesis” gives different answers for a ten-year-old and a biology student.
- Not checking: an AI can make up figures, references or quotes. Ask for sources and verify important facts.
- Sharing sensitive data: avoid names, addresses, medical or banking details in a prompt sent to an online service.
