3. Purpose of the site
Otoolia offers free online tools (music, memorisation, education, artificial intelligence, utilities) that can be used without signing up. The site is funded by advertising. The tools are provided "as is", with no guarantee of results or availability. The publisher cannot be held liable for how the tools are used or for content created with them.
4. Intellectual property
The site's structure, texts, logo and code belong to the publisher unless otherwise stated. Any reproduction or reuse without permission is prohibited. Trademarks mentioned (for example Anki) belong to their respective owners; Otoolia is not affiliated with any of them.
Content you enter or create with the tools remains yours.
5. Personal data
Otoolia requires no account or sign-up. The following data is processed:
- Your content in the tools: the tools run in your browser; the text and files you process are not sent to our servers, unless stated otherwise on the tool's page. The only exception, at your request and after confirmation: the LaTeX assistant's “Open in Overleaf” button sends the document to the Overleaf service (Digital Science UK Ltd).
- Messages: if you email us, your address and message are only used to reply.
- Technical logs: the host records connection data (IP address, date, page visited) required for the security of the service.
- Audience measurement: with your consent, Google Analytics collects browsing data (pages visited, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate city or country) to produce traffic statistics. See section 6.
- Advertising: with your consent, Google and its partners collect browsing data (cookie identifiers, IP address, pages visited, device type) to show and measure ads. See section 6.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, write to contact@otoolia.com. For data collected by Google, you can also contact Google directly (Google Privacy Policy). You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
6. Cookies, audience measurement and advertising
Google Analytics audience measurement
With your agreement, this site uses Google Analytics, an audience-measurement service provided by
Google Ireland Limited, to find out how many people use each tool and to improve the site.
Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…) with a lifetime of 13 months at most.
IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Statistics are kept for 14 months at most,
and are used neither for advertising nor to identify you. This data may be transferred outside the European Union,
in particular to the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework,
standard contractual clauses).
Until you give your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no measurement cookie is set.
Google AdSense advertising
This site uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
These cookies are set and read by the servers of Google and its advertising partners, not by Otoolia; Otoolia has no access to the information they contain. This data may be transferred outside the European Union, in particular to the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses).

Your consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customise advertising and audience-measurement cookies; refusing is as easy as accepting, and the tools work the same in every case. This banner is provided by a Google-certified consent management platform (IAB TCF framework).
- If you accept, ads may be personalised according to your interests, and Google Analytics is loaded.
- If you refuse, no advertising cookies are set for personalisation purposes (non-personalised or limited ads may still be shown), and Google Analytics is not loaded.
- You can change your choice at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent, the measurement cookies are deleted.
- Your choice is kept for 13 months at most, after which you will be asked again. Advertising cookies also have a maximum lifetime of 13 months.
- If this banner cannot be shown (for example with an ad blocker), a simplified Otoolia banner asks for your consent to audience measurement only; this choice is kept for 6 months.
Local storage required for the site to work
Without requiring consent, the site stores in your browser (local storage) your light or dark theme preference, where relevant a tool's settings and content, and your cookie choice. This information never leaves your device and can be deleted in your browser settings.
Otoolia uses no audience-measurement tool other than Google Analytics.

The gross / net salary calculator uses, for the United States, the 2026 state income tax brackets published by the Tax Foundation (State Individual Income Tax Rates and Brackets, 2026), as well as official rates from the IRS, HM Revenue & Customs and the French tax authority (DGFiP).
The BMI calculator uses the parameters of the reference charts of the World Health Organization (2006, 2007), the CDC (2000) and the IOTF (Cole and Lobstein, 2012), taken from the open-source packages rcpchgrowth (© Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health — MIT licence) and sitar (© T. J. Cole), and the French child health record BMI curves under age 2 (AFPA – CRESS/Inserm – CompuGroup Medical, 2018), read from the official chart. Otoolia is not affiliated with any of these organisations. The other tools and the site itself use no third-party library and rely on your device's fonts.
